The One Page Button is Here

So, after spending far too much time on the last button, I opted to keep it simple.

One Page will replace my weekly Writer-Mommy Writing Wednesday post.

I'll add a code box soon for this button once I get a moment's peace here; the Intrepid Toddler in my home is going through that hellish I-don't-wanna-go-to-bed-mommy-mommeee-mommmmmeeeee!! stage.

Going through it, like RIGHT NOW.

Here's the rules, as best I can type them given my jittered nerves (oh please oh please BE QUIET!):

1. Commit to write a page a day, five days a week, toward your own personal writing dream. Mine is novel-writing.

2. Do the writing. Self-explanatory, but also the most difficult thing for us to do as writer-mommies.

3. Don't beat yourself up if you miss a day. Life comes before writing, often in the form of a stomach flu outbreak amongst your children. One Page isn't about perfect page counts, it's about trying. And about picking yourself up and trying again when you fall down.

4. Post your progress and link up on Wednesdays here at Writer-Mommy. You can elaborate (as I'm sure I will) about the difficulties you had in getting time to write, the writer's block issues, the crippling moments of self-doubt. Share the good stuff, too - like feeling your fingers race over the keys as you try to get the words down as fast as you can. And the supreme feeling of accomplishment for tackling just one small part of your impossible dream.

5. Feel free to just comment if that suits you better.

Alrighty, mommyfolk, I'm off to hopefully endure the wails of my overtired toddler who has always gone to bed well but chose this night to test my limits.

Thank you ever so much, Sir Screamsalot.

I hope One Page is an idea that can help my fellow writer-mommies; please comment with any ideas you have to make it better.
