Blog-to Show: A Pithy Intro to My Webjoint

I'm participating in the Blog-to Show hosted by Successful-Blog this weekend, a great way to showcase your blog that I heard (read?) Mrs. Fussypants tweeting about over at Twitter this morning.

If you'd like to join in, be sure to read the how-to post over at Successful-Blog and get your submission in on time!

Thanks, Liz, for the chance to talk about Writer-Mommy!

+++---+++---+++---+++

I missed out on all the fun over at Pensieve's BlogHop '08 last week since I was too busy brooding over the fact that mean people really do exist online.

I know, I know - you experienced bloggers are all shaking your head in wonder at my naivete, aren't you? Forgive me, I'm a relative newbie that runs with the mommyblogger pack; I've yet to meet a meanie amongst them, even if I don't always remember to tell them how much I love them.

I've had moments where I've felt like the tiniest fish in the blogging sea and considered giving up blogging altogether. Thank goodness for TypeA lists and bloggy friends like this. Oh, and this. Both of those bloggers are awesome writer-mommies, too. Go girls!

I knew I was born to be a Writer at the tender age of five. I recently had my first paid publication in GreenPrints; after the initial shock of receiving an acceptance letter wore off, I learned a basic truth about what writing really means to me.

The only thing more important to me than writing is my family. Besides my darling hubs, Knute, who happens to be my best friend, there are The Royal Monkeys, my three weefolk who give me endless blogging inspiration. It is for them, ultimately, that I keep blogging, for I believe that these everyday tales of life - scribbled furiously when I have a free moment - will be one of the greatest legacies that I can leave them.

Well! Now that I've chatted your ear off and sent you wandering down far too many linky-trails, let me point you to some of my personal fave posts:

Mommyspeak, in which I discuss why I just can't fit in at the local mom's group;

Labels, in which I claim the one that is the most important to me; and,

One Page, in which I attempt to subdue my hungry writing beast one page at a time.

Thanks for dropping by my blogjoint - I do hope you'll find something that thrills you.

I adore comments so feel free to shower me with your kind words! Lurky turkeys are always welcome, too!
