That's right, writing mommies! It's coming back, my red-headed stepchild of a blog carnival! It's coming back...again. Have I ever mentioned how much I enjoy starting projects? Or what an eternal optimist I am?
Since I've been inspired by Jane over at What About Mom? and her Makes Me Smile Monday carnival, I thought it was high time to bring back WMWW here.
So flex those fingers and get tippity-typing on this:
If you could publish only one book in your lifetime (ie: Harper Lee and To Kill a Mockingbird - a book I love; I wish she had written just one more), what kind of book would it be? Fiction or non-fiction? Mystery or Chick Lit? Expose-type journalism or a children's book?
Think about it: just one book, written by you, sitting on a Barnes & Noble shelf (or, more hopefully, out-of-stock due to popularity). What kind of book would it be, why would you want it to be your one book, and ultimately, what kind of message would you want to share with the world?
And because I know many of you mommyfolk out there love writing but may never have considered tackling a whole book, consider getting a little inspiration from this quote by the very private and fairly reclusive Ms. Lee, who, upon being asked to address the Alabama Academy of Honor in August of 2007, said only this:
"Well, it's better to be silent than to be a fool."
Post about either topic at your blogjoint tomorrow, Wednesday 4/16, then come back here to Writer-Mommy. My post will be up, I promise, and I'll throw a Mr. Linky box on the bottom. Link your post, drop a comment, and most of all, remember that part of your soul that bathes in words.
Let the writer in you come out for a while and dream, 'kay?
